A former KQED QUEST associate producer, Michael Goode, is currently traveling in Argentina and sent back several great photos of the Perito Moreno Glacier.

 ”It’s larger than the city of Buenos Aires. It’s often mistakenly said that it’s the worlds only advancing glacier. It was in the beginning of the 20th century, now it’s the world’s only stable glacier. It’s a branch of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, which, after Antarctica and Greenland, is the 3rd largest body of ice in the world.”

Looks like a Sight worth seeing in person.
